APO Ads is a service for U.S. DoD members who live in Japan. It currently combines a local business locator and elegant classified ads; allowing you to find local businesses such as restaurants, and sell your goods for a bit of extra cash.
The data within APO Ads is not the work of just one person. The entire military community in Japan can find/add businesses, share experiences, upload photos and post ads for sale. Each of these actions earns repuation - which is the measure of how much you've contributed to helping the military community on APO Ads (and gives you a chance to win prizes from local businesses as well!)
Hi, I'm Chad Thiele. I've been living in Japan on a military installation for nearly 14 years. In that time, I've learned to speak the local language and find many great services that are right outside the base. I'm using my experience as a web developer to build APO Ads to help improve your quality of life while in living in Japan.
